As our province’s population continues to age and the numbers of seniors needing some sort of nursing care grow, our parish has discerned the need for us to ensure that those places and people are given the opportunity to partake in the life of the church as much as possible.
There are several nursing and rest homes, as well as senior’s centres and apartments within our Parish bounds and our clergy and lay readers serve them each month. Services, teas and social time, hymn sings, visitations, and home communions are all ways that God has called us to share his abiding presence and love with people in these places.
